Please join us in welcoming Oakfire Clubs Director of Instruction, Aaron Silton. Aaron’s journey didn’t begin on the fairway — it began on the front lines. A decorated U.S. Marine Raider and veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Aaron’s military service forged the discipline, focus, and resilience that now define him as a golf professional and instructor.

Aaron Silton, Director of Instruction

After being wounded during his final deployment in Afghanistan, Aaron was introduced to golf as part of his recovery. What started as therapy quickly became a passion and purpose. Working through his own physical limitations gave him a deep appreciation for how the body and mind work together in the golf swing — insight that continues to shape his approach to teaching today.

In 2014, Aaron graduated at the top of his class from the Golf Academy of America, channeling the same intensity and commitment that guided his military career into his studies and his game. That blend of precision, perseverance, and genuine love for golf has become the foundation of his success as both a player and instructor.

Over the course of his career, Aaron has developed broad expertise across every facet of the golf industry — from managing day-to-day operations as a General Manager to leading a thriving junior golf program and building a loyal following of students. His own experience rebuilding his swing after injury gives him a rare ability to help players of all levels, especially those navigating physical challenges or major swing changes.

Aaron’s story has earned national recognition, with features in Golf Digest and appearances on the Golf Channel and ESPN — testaments to his journey, his teaching, and his dedication to growing the game.

At the core of Aaron’s teaching philosophy is a simple principle: swing your swing. Every lesson begins with a Mobility and Stability screening to understand each student’s unique physical capabilities — an approach rooted in his own recovery. From there, he helps players build strength, confidence, and consistency through an individualized plan that balances physical improvement with mental resilience. The ultimate goal: find more fairways, hit more greens, and have more fun.

Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or sharpening a competitive edge, Aaron brings energy, empathy, and expertise to every lesson — helping each player unlock their best game.
